Samuel Okudzeto Ablakwa, a member of parliament for the North Tongu seat, claims that the Electoral Commission’s reputation has been damaged by some of its actions.

According to him, the Auditor-General found that 21 members of upper management avoided background checks.

He mentioned that Article 9 (1) of the Commissions Bargaining Agreement (CBA) of 2018 has been broken by an unidentified number of senior management personnel in a tweet on July 11.

According to the report, “every employee will be forced to supply details about oneself or herself on the standard form (called personal records), which will be included on his or her personal file,” he stated.

Mr. Ablakwa claims that according to the Auditor-examinations, General’s the staff’s files do not include any personal information, police background check results, or declarations of assets and obligations.
