Actress Ada Ameh from Nigeria dies
Actress Ada Ameh from Nollywood has died. The well-known actress, best remembered for her part in The Johnsons, passed away at age 48.
According to Emeka Rollas, President of the Actors Guild of Nigeria, the actress passed away on Sunday night.
This comes after the actress battled mental health concerns for years.
A few weeks before to her passing, Ada Ameh had spoken candidly about her struggles with mental illness after the deaths of certain family members at the height of Covid-19.
The actress lost six of her brothers before the year 2020.
She lost her only child, a beautiful girl she gave birth to at age 14, on October 20, 2020.
After losing another sibling in March 2022, she began to battle illness, and her condition worsened.
Ada Ameh declared “everything is going to be alright” on a televised show. My life is now being threatened by a problem I have. I won’t pass away. We’ll move beyond it.
