Akufo Addo’s confidence in Ken Ofori-Atta is the reason he hasn’t fired him – Ben Ephson
According to pollster and managing editor of the Daily Dispatch Newspaper Benjamin Emmanuel Ephson, Ken Ofori-Atta, the under criticism finance minister, is still in his position despite widespread criticism.
According to Mr. Ephson, President Akufo-Addo has a high level of confidence in the Finance Minister.
Ken Ofori-Atta is still employed because “the president agrees with the proposals of Ken Ofori-Atta,” he said.
On Thursday, August 11, the pollster predicted Ghanaians will take into account the NPP’s accomplishments and policies when voting in the 2024 elections on the “Top Story” show on Accra-based Joy News.
The pollster observed that voters in 2024 would focus their decisions on what the administration had accomplished and which party’s policies would benefit them.
Many Ghanaians, including governance and economic professionals, think the finance minister and other underperforming ministries should be sacked in light of the country’s current economic problems.
The performance of the president’s ministers was lauded by Akufo-Addo.
In a recent interview broadcast on Tamale’s North Star Radio on Monday, August 8, he stated that there would not be a need for a reorganization.
According to him, those making the calls are the opposition NDC trying to topple his administration.
“Many of them have produced excellent work for me. They have produced a lot, and that is what I consider.
“If the output matches the expectations, I don’t have any compelling reasons to heed the call,” the speaker said. The appeals are made for a variety of reasons, including the NDC’s desire to topple the administration. There are others who are seeking employment, the President said.
