John Boadu is defeated by Justin Kodua to become the next general secretary.
Justin Frimpong Kodua, the Chief Executive Officer of the Youth Employment Agency (YEA), has replaced the New Patriotic Party’s outgoing General Secretary (NPP).
After the National Delegates Conference on Saturday at the Accra Sports Stadium, he has been named the new chief scribe of the ruling party.
With a 313 vote difference, he won.
John Boadu came in second with 2,524 votes, polling 2,837 in his favor.
Iddrisu Musah, a former mayor of the Tamale Metropolitan Assembly, came in second behind Mr. Boadu with a dismal 104 votes, followed by Frederick Opare Ansah with 50 votes, and Ramseyer A. Agyeman-Prempeh with a meager 8 votes.
