Pokuase: Residents rush toward the burning gasoline truck in spite of the “Appiatse explosion” experience.

Residents of Pokuase, an Accra neighborhood in the Greater Accra area, were seen running toward a tanker that was exploding.

At 2:30 pm, the gasoline tanker was involved in an accident at Pokuase.

Despite the risk, several witnesses chose to approach the burning tanker in their effort to get the event on camera.

As onlookers put their lives in danger to record films and snap images, it seems like the first to report bad news on social media wins out over logic.

A vehicle carrying mining explosives collided with a tricycle, triggering a huge explosion near Appiatse, Bogoso, around six months ago. This horrible event plunged the whole country into mourning.

The whole town of Appiatse in the Western Region was completely devastated when the truck caught fire and detonated.

The corpses of locals who raced to record the tragedy on camera and video were torn to bits by the enormous explosion.
