What does GAMRO stand for? Record label CEO queries live on television
Many would have assumed Kofi Sonny, who is the CEO of a record label, is familiar with the Ghana Music Rights Organization (GAMRO).
This is only due to the fact that the Ghana Music Rights Organization is a royalty collecting organization in Ghana that defends the rights of those who own music copyrights.
Kofi Sonny, though, has confounded that perception. He claims to be unaware of GAMRO, an organization that represents the Ghanaian music business.
Even if he is residing in the US, Kofi Sonny was asked whether he would still receive the earnings of his artist Korsah from GAMRO in an exclusive interview on Atinka TV’s entertainment program “JukeBox,” presented by Nana Adwoa Annan.
Who or what is Gamro?
The Chief Executive Officer of the American-based 610 music/Universal music company is Kofi Sonny.
Despite the record label’s lengthy history, its newest artist, Kwame Korsah, is presently recognized as one of Ghana’s most rapidly growing musicians.
The song “Show Something” by Korsah, which also stars Kofi Mole, is now receiving a ton of radio and television attention.
